Hello!
The Nellie Mae Education Foundation in Quincy, Massachusetts, is pleased to announce that Danielle Shuckra has joined the Foundation as a Communications Associate. Ms. Shuckra brings over eight years of combined nonprofit and for-profit experience in communications, marketing, research, and policy with an emphasis in higher education to this new role in the Foundation. Previously, Ms. Shuckra served two years as a Communications and Project Manager with the University of Massachusetts Boston, College of Science and Mathematics (CSM). There she worked on all aspects of marketing and communications for CSM including the development and implementation of comprehensive communications and marketing strategies and plans. In addition, Ms. Shuckra spent four years with the American Council on Education (ACE) where she ultimately served as Project Manger for the Solutions for Our Future Initiative with ACE's Department of Government Relations. In this capacity, she researched, designed, launched, and managed communications and marketing strategies, plans, advertising, outreach, and operations for this programmatic effort focused on promoting and expanding public awareness of the benefits of higher education, working with colleges and universities across the country. Her professional background also includes work as a Project Director and Marketing/Public Relations Manager with CorJen Construction, and work as a Research Assistant in the History Department at Harvard University. Ms. Shuckra holds a B.A. in English Literature from Boston College and a Master of Public Administration from The George Washington University. She also has extensive national and international volunteer service experience through her work with Habitat for Humanity.
